Okay, so it’s been a minute since I’ve had the chance to post anything, but I just sent Volume 13 of The Complete Funky Winkerbean off to my editor at the Kent State University Press (nee Black Squirrel Books) and I’ve finally had a chance to come up for air. Don’t get me wrong, working on the books is a joy. But, while I’m immersed with a new book, other things tend to slide, hence the climb back into the saddle with a brace of John Darling Sundays.
While talking with the Press, I did pick up a bit of news… and good news (you always have to qualify a statement like that these days). I mentioned in an earlier post how Volume 12 had sold out and had to go back for a second printing. Well, it’s back from it’s sea sojourn and those who had ordered the book are getting their orders filled. So, if you were one of the people who ordered a copy of Volume 12, you should be getting your book shortly if you haven’t already gotten it. I think there’s still a little winter ahead of us and some cozy fires to read it by as these last winter storms breeze by.
