John Romita

Jun 17, 2023

This week we lost another Silver Age luminary with the passing of John Romita. Although I never got to personally meet him, our paths crossed ever so tangentially back when I was commissioning faux comic book covers to use in Funky. He was a real gentleman in declining my request, but it did give me the chance to tell him what his work meant to me.

The heavens above the Silver Age are starting to dim. In the words of Bob Dylan, it’s not dark yet, but it’s getting there.
