Back to School Part 2

Aug 26, 2022

As promised, here’s the second piece that I created for the final appearance of my panel Rapping Around in the Chronicle-Telegram back in 1973. There was a lot of work in the two pieces, and I just may have been trying to assuage my conscience a little for abandoning the paper that provided the first home for my work in a newspaper. Interestingly, the CT paid me ten dollars a week for my Rapping Around panels, and I know they paid less than that for the week of Funky Winkerbean dailies and Sundays that they were running. So I don’t feel so bad now because it turns out I was saving them some money!
