So, back in 2019, I attended San Diego Comic-Con’s 50th anniversary celebration. Now, in 2022, I was invited back for Funky’s 50th anniversary to be a special guest and appear on a couple of panels.
Naturally I was a bit concerned in regard to the Covid situation, but I have to say, for an event of this size, the Comic-Con staff handled that situation incredibility well. First you had to show proof of vaccination which accorded you with a wrist band that would allow you access to the Con. Once inside, you had to be masked at all times, and I found that compliance with this was in the high nineties. I chalk this up to the fact that comics geeks are pretty bright people.
