Eric Carmen

Boats Against the Current by Eric Carmen is one of my desert island discs. It is a pop/rock masterpiece where Eric showed how deep you could truly go within the confines of a simple pop song. It inspired me to try to create work that good. I loved everything about it including its classy packaging. I was so taken with the look that I used the same kind of brush calligraphy on the cover of Lisa’s Story. So sad to hear of Eric’s passing.
