I made use of the personal as well. Funky has always been fairly meta, but never more so than when my apparent avatar Les shows up to the Kent State University Press to pitch his book about Lisa. I follow it from his initial trudge up the steps to the Press’s then offices in Lowry Hall to the Lisa’s Story book launch in Montoni’s, which mirrored the wondrous book launch that took place at the real life at Luigi’s in Akron.
