Rotary Run for Lisa’s Legacy

Race illo 2014 Rotary

As I promised in an earlier post, the Lisa’s Legacy Run has returned to the real world.  The Rotary of Mentor, Ohio is holding a Rotary Run for Lisa’s Legacy on September 7th. It’s a 5K run and 1 mile walk that will take off in front of the Mentor Senior Center at 8:30 a.m. with the proceeds going to the Lisa’s Legacy Fund for Cancer Research and Education at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center. I couldn’t be happier to once again see Lisa step off of the comics page to do some real world good in the battle against cancer. I also love the fact that it’s an event that in and of itself is a promoter of good health. It’s nice to think that people can contribute to the fight against cancer and to their own health and well being at the same time. For those who don’t think they’re quite up to the 5K, there’s a 1 mile walk that’s part of the event as well.

If you’re interested in going out and running for a good cause, go to the “Events” section on this site and click on the link to download a registration form. I’ll be running and then hanging around afterward to sign copies of Lisa’s Story, race tees or anything else for that matter. I’ll look forward to hopefully seeing you there.
