As if reading the Avengers Omnibus editions wasn’t enough, I’m also tackling the biblical task of reading the Marvel Conan editions as well this winter. If doing that appeals to you too, I would highly recommend reading Roy Thomas’s wonderful companion book Barbarian Life as you do so. It’s a comic book by comic book description of what was going on behind the scenes when the work was being created. I’m finding it to be utterly fascinating. So if you’re like me, someone who rakes the leaves and then separates them by color, I think you’ll find this nourishes not only your curiosity, but satisfies your OCD as well. Happy reading.
