The Annotated Funky – Funky’s Last Week 2

In this second strip from Funky’s last week, we see Lisa and her mother arriving in their solar scooter at an antiquarian book store. We see from the broken sign that the store is called the Village Booksmith. This is the same book store that we currently see in Crankshaft – the book store run by Crankshaft’s next door neighbor Lillian McKenzie.

In the second panel of the Funky strip, Lisa’s mother alludes to the “burnings”. This makes reference to a story that will run in the Fall of 2024 in Crankshaft.
