Watched the first episode of The Man Who Fell to Earth on HBO the other night, and it prompted me to pull my copy of Walter Tevis’s ineffable novel from my bookshelf to see if it was as good as I remembered. It was. Walter Tevis has been one of my favorite writers for a long time, and has formed an unholy triumvirate in my personal pantheon along with Daniel Keyes and Bradely Denton.
