As any causal reader of this blog knows, I’m a big fan of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and last month Cathy and I traveled to Canada to take in a Bombers game at the invitation of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers Football Club. Naturally, I took along the team jersey with Crankshaft on the back that the club had sent me after seeing references to the team in Crankshaft.
Everyone involved with the Bombers was incredibly gracious to my wife Cathy and myself, and, to my great surprise, I was invited to run out of the the team tunnel onto the field with some other fans. Needless to say, this is not something that you generally wake up in the morning planning to do, and it made being at the game even more special than it already was.
