So when these John Darling strips were appearing, the strip itself was only running in a small number of papers. I was ready to call it a day, but I was also in the middle of a lawsuit to regain the ownership of my work. Bailing on a strip in the middle of that seemed like bad form, and not a precedent I particularly want to set. So, when informed by Gerry Shamray that he wanted to move on, I called on another artist friend Bob Vojtko to step in… and step in he did. The look of the strip continued on without missing a beat as evidenced by this Sunday strip. The strip itself may have been heading for the cliff, but we weren’t there just yet, and there was still some fun to be had with the gang at Channel One.
